Return Of Unwanted Medicines

Proper Disposal of Medicine

Storage of expired and unwanted medicines in the home can be dangerous and unsafe disposal of unwanted medicines can lead to environmental damage. The Return Unwanted Medicines (or The RUM Project) is a free service allowing you to return all your unwanted medicines back to us for proper disposal. Once medications are returned to the pharmacy, they are placed in a special bin in a secure area of the pharmacy.

Once filled, it is sealed and then returned via our wholesaler for incineration. Medications can be returned in their original packaging or, if you are concerned about your privacy, they can be removed and returned without the packaging. For more information, talk to one of our Pharmacists or go to www.returnmed.com.au
